Cancun Centro, or Downtown Cancun as tourists say, is a very good option for shopping since there are many shops, supermarkets and flea markets where you can get different goods at very reasonable rates. Market 28 is one of the most recommended site to go shopping in Cancun Centro.

If you visit Cancun (downtown), you will see that there are various American franchises such as the Wal-Marts and Blockbuster. There are also great shopping places that are located at the Hotel Zone in Cancun (see Cancun Mexico Hotels). However, remember that there are various small hotels downtown that offer budget accommodation (see small all-inclusive hotels).
There are also wonderful restaurants in Cancun in all its territory but many tourists say that if you want to try the gastronomy of this country, you should go to those restaurants located in Cancun Centro, as locals say. It must be said that eating in this part of Cancun is inexpensive and the personnel of the restaurants located in this area are friendly and efficient.
Remember that there are many attractions in Cancun Downtown such as the Plaza de Toros. There are some travel agencies that offer tours or excursions to the Plaza de Toros where you will enjoy the famous bullfights.
